In the mid to late 90s Japan developed a huge NYHC-inspired scene. The 'Nothing But A Hardway' compilation CD, released by Radical East in 1998, is one of the finest examples of this era/scene of Japanese hardcore. It's got 18 bands, and while not every band is all that great, it's an overall solid compilation. Highlights include Dyingrace and Second To None (both awesome and heavy as fuck hardcore, I posted Dyingrace's insane demo here), T.J. Maxx (the Japanese 25 Ta Life), Protect (awesome old school dual-vocals hardcore), John Holmez (excellent metallic hardcore), Strength (heavy mid-tempo hardcore), Swing Arm (up-tempo sing-along hardcore) and Stinger (love their crazy vocals). One Path For Me Through Destiny
...is a '90s hardcore blog, tho there might be some exceptions. Just some records and demo's from that era that I feel need to be heard. Despite the over-abundance of '90s hardcore mp3 blogs, and punk & hardcore mp3 blogs in general, I will try to put music on here that is worthwhile and isn't featured on other blogs.
If you're in a new band that is in some way inspired by 90s hardcore (of any kind), and want me to write something about your band as a 'new blood' feature, contact me here. No guarantees tho, my time is limited and I might not like your band anyways.
I also post photos of my record collection, among other things, on Instagram as @xhcnoirx. Check it out and follow me if you feel like it.

most of the bands on this comp are pretty obscure,i tried to track down a mncd a while ago but then the ebay seller dissolved into nothing. :/

goddammit you were right. almost doomish and to what i've listen to (youtobe have some live sets from Second To None) they're becoming more "gothic". heavy stuff or sure,almost as Corrupted has decided to go beatdown
