Lifeline - s/t MCD

No, this is not the current Lifeline that is fronted by Don Foose of the Spudmonsters. This particular Lifeline was formed in 1997 in Massachusetts and as far as I know only did some demo's and this MCD. Information on this band is quite scarce, so if anybody has any more info, please leave a comment, this band seems to have gone completely under the radar. This MCD was released in 1998 by Break Even Point Records, a prolific Italian hardcore/punk label that released records by European bands as well as US bands like Endpoint, Backlash and Lifetime. Lifeline played an odd mix of raw and fast East coast hardcore with almost youth crew like vocals. It doesn't work 100%, and the vocals are definitely the weakest part of the band, but I've also heard worse. But more burly and gruff vocals definitely would've worked better with this band. Still tho, give it a shot.

I WAS IN THIS BAND, WE HAD ONE LINE UP FOR THE 1-2 YEARS WE PLAYED. WE DO HAVE AN EARLY DEMO CASSETTE THAT I STILL HAVE. I WAS THE SINGER AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT I SUCKED TOO! HA!

I LOVE the Deepwater record on Break Even Point. One of my all time faves.

Marc, I met the guitar player, camping in Pemaquid Maine, back around the time of the demo. Can't remember his name. I was 12 or 13 years old and listened to a lot of punk/ska. we got talking about music and he gave me a copy of the Lifeline demo. I loved it. Years later I started playing in hardcore bands. Played in a band called Cruel Hand a few years back. Have a new band called Vicious Images. But yea, I was just trying to find old footage/pics of Lifeline shows and this is the only thing I found. hah Also wondering if that guy was in any current bands I might have heard of or seen

Hey Jeremy! I believe the guitar player you met was Doug, he used to go up there every year. He doesn't play in any bands. I remember Cruel Hand too! I play bass for Lenny Lashley's Gang of One for the past 4 years now. I hope you are still playing.
